The Biogyps Karvelis Co. located at the Mid-West part of Greece established in 1960 with a vision of being the premier industry in providing quality plaster products to its customers of the domestic and foreign marketplaces, since then has been developed to one of the most dynamic greek producers of building plaster as well as artistic plaster (plastic).

Through consistent efforts all these years towards developing the necessary capabilities and establishing high quality standards, Biogyps Karvelis Co. is now one of the growing leaders in providing high quality plaster products.

Our philosophy it is always the creativity and the innovation aiming to the better service of our customers, and the triptych the right product, in the right price, on the right time, allows us to satisfy the growing demand and possess one of the bigger shares in the Greek market.

All our products delivered in Greece, pending on the application and the order quantity, are forwarded directly or via distributors (wholesalers) to our customers. Our plaster also is exported to companies of the Balkan and Middle East countries. Needless to say, that the export of our plaster is highly regarded and is one of the major strategic objectives of our company.

Furthermore, between company assets are included the two gypsum mines which are located, one in "Zante" island and the other one in "Aitoliko" area close to the Plant.

The workforce of the company consist of 25 highly skilled technicians working in the factory and 5 employees of the central offices. Undoubtedly the most important factor which has helped Biogyps Karvelis Co. to gain such respect across the nation - with its quality products - is the company's main asset, the workforce. Highly skilled and efficient, the workforce ranks among the best qualified personnel in all areas of the company's activities.

Technology

During the last five years the most of our production machinery has been replaced with modern automated equipment manufactured and supported by Atritor, UK, in order to comply with the most advanced technology requirements and produce larger quantities of high quality products. Our systems are subject to a programme of continuous innovation and development, both in our laboratories and on-site. This ensures that we will continue to provide the most effective solutions to our customers of today and tomorrow.

The environment

The Biogyps Karvelis Co. sensitised in the intense environmental problem of today is following a strict environmental policy, continuously renewable and always adapted to the latest international regulations.

In the frame of this policy, it contributes in the protection of the mines and factory environment with continuing plantings of trees. Moreover because the production unit is equipped with the latest technology filters, the smoke and the pollutants which are always under control, are effectively not emitted in the air.

Furthermore the plaster powder is packed in recyclable bags.
